Albino Gila?????

Postby Gabi » Tue Aug 23, 2005 10:49 am

I promised BV months ago that I'd show him this picture I can't remember where I found it and I really don't know whether it's a genuine photo or whether it is the work of Photoshop. These days one can never tell. But either way it's still a nice picture. It was said to be an Albino Gila Monster.....

Shedding? But it should've been white. I think it's not real.

I really have my doubts about this pic. Why was it not shown as a baby because this animal is not young.

Why would a captive bred valuable animal like this be kept in such a way that two of its toes get damaged or bitten off.

That "shedding" also looks dodgy.

Oh well it got us speculating.

It is possible because they are basically nocturnal so the UV light would not affect them but they would stand out like a sore thumb at night.

They feed on insects, small mammals, eggs and nestlings so it is possible for them to survive but I seriously doubt it.
