Determining sex

Would it be possible to determine the sex of a lizard by means of a medical sonar scan?

Interesting thought Nasicornis! If you can replicate it on lizard scale and keep them still, most definately. If you do have the means try it out and keep me posted.

It is possible to see the hemipenes in fully developed males. It should be fairly straight forward to see oviducts in a female lizard too. I think a endoscope through a small incision should work too like the method used to sex birds.
