It is possible to see the hemipenes in fully developed males. It should be fairly straight forward to see oviducts in a female lizard too. I think a endoscope through a small incision should work too like the method used to sex birds.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
Those who are afraid to ask are ashamed of learning.
