They chase your shadow which looks like they are chasing you. My dad did some Zulu dances in a tent at Krugerpark the first time we every came in contact with these critters was very young but remember it very well. I still fear Sac spiders not other spider specifically sac spider there are a bounty of them where we live and if you have ever seen the damage such a spider can do with a bite you will understand why.

Spiders are bad but my biggest phobia is sharks! I do quite a bit of spearfishing and they are never off my mind!

If you had a real phobia then you wouldn do speafishing,,,like me

Yesterday I was playing with my dog,and as I ran my hand over her back,there is was!A shiny blue tick.
Even though I love my dog to bits,thats my moms job to take those bloodsucking deamons off.

For me its parktown prawns I can handle pretty much anything else but a parktown prawn. I think the things get high off Raid because I have never seen them die from it and if you squish them or attempt to move them they let out that black goo that smells for days no matter how you try to was it off.

Parktown Prawns!!! EEEEK! first time i encountered one was four years ago! Took me and 3 other dudes all standing on strategically placed chairs with brooms in hand to "safely usher it out the lounge! disgusting lil creatures...

Surprisingly though, I have yet to find any Reptile or Invertebrate that I'm scared of. Kept Scorpions. Not scared at all. Kept Centipedes. Not the least bit frightened. Keep Snakes: No sudden increases in Heart Rates. Lizards: Pfft, come on they're cute. Tarantulas: Bring it on. Red Romans: LOL, they're nothing to be afraid of. Parktown Prawns: Come on. Seriously? It's a big cricket, I'll be glad to take them off you're hands.

However when I get surprised by a Spider, I still freak out. I was watching TV one day, there were bees on TV, felt something on my arm, thought that's weird, I must be feeling things because of this movie, looked at my arm, there was this spider there, was off that couch in 1 second and the spider walked casually across the couch.

It was this funny looking thing, was tiny but looked a lot like a Baboon Spider, but it had an entirely different head shape.
Now Bats on the other hand, no ways. You won't find me in the same room as a bat.

Moths!! Not the small ones, I'm talking about those huge ones. If there is one within a 100m from me it WILL fly into me! That just freaks me out completely.

A few years ago I was swimming in my Grandmas pool and she says "Oh look, a water scorpion" I got out of that pool so quickly like you wouldn't believe After getting over the initial fright, I scooped it out the water and Saw that it was actually quite a cool looking dude. Very chilled except when in your hands and isn't actually a Scorpion but a type of Water Bug.
