Cobra shading?

Mmm a new way of controlling temperature in a snake enclosure. Or is that only applicable to the Indian Cobra in the heat of Indian summers?

Dispholidus, One King Cobra, and a 400 square meter "enclosure" which should be at least 20m high and have a few trees, looks like a natural habitat, and then place shade nets to cool down on warmer days :?

We used to have 100's of bloukop koggelmanders in our garden when I was growing up. We bordered against a koppie between Carletonville and Potch. During mating season the males heads goes blue, they are really stunning.

I don't think it is legal to keep them but I may be wrong.

well it may well be if kept under the incorrect conditions and that may have caused the color change as it may have been kept in too cold conditions with no uv lighting. I may be wrong but my common sense tells me that could be some of the reasons why it is so dark. Also I haven't seen one in over 10 years so can't accurately ID.

Miniature Leopard Skin Tortoises? New sub-species of leopard tortoises? Or just generic tortoises with fake fur?

Erm... Are turtlers people who go out looking for turtles, like herpers look for reptiles?
http://johannesburg.gumtree.co.za/c-Pets-other-pets-tank-turtlers-and-fish-W0QQAdIdZ312702548

And here I thought that these guys were on the "no-no" list?
http://durban.gumtree.co.za/c-Pets-other-pets-RED-EARED-SLYDER-TURTLES-R699EACH-W0QQAdIdZ289766621

Thought these are illegal to sell, or transport, but I suppose if they fly, or swim to your house, it should be ok? Or can David Copperfield or Uri Gellar help out in transport?
