He must be studying how many rats it can eat in a minute :)
If I'm gonna be an old, lonely man, I'm gonna need a thing, you know, a hook, like that guy on the subway who eats his own face. So I figure I'll be Crazy Man with a Snake, y'know. Crazy Snake Man. And I'll get more snakes, call them my babies, kids won't walk past my place, they will run. "Run away from Crazy Snake Man, " they'll shout!”

There was a post concerning this some time time ago, if I recall. Neville Wolmarans may know more.

That is indeed VERY fat. I dont know a lot about Gaboons, but that thing looks obese to me.

Has this been confirmed? Or is it just someone that made up a story and posted a pic on Facebook?

I think this is a setup. A gaboon that size will not escape and climb walls or wander off that far. I would prefer to wait for confirmation before I give this story any credibility.

I just realised, it can't be Neville's. He has KZN permits so his animals would stop at the border between KZN and Gauteng.
