its a grate story. but sadly aparintly the crocodile died (of natural causes) , but i could be wrong.

It is an American crocodile-Crocodylus acutus. Incredible beast, I would love a pet like that.

It just shows how smart a reptile could be. Still not going to say that its got emotion though. What I found cool is that the croc would assosiate the "owner" with food but it still does not atack him for food. So the croc seems to have distinguished between food and food provider. Many reptiles ,mammals and birds will atack the food provider if it feels like a snack. Im not sure if im making sense...

There was a story on this on Carte Blanch not to long ago. 2 SA guys made a documentry about scuba diving with crocs and went over to interview this guy. The one decided to go for a swim with the croc but the croc was not too happy with that.
