Looks like one of those flying foxes, saw them at the Singapore zoo... poor thing.

That bat is not as big as it looks.

If you look at the beam above the bat's head there is a knife's blade. If the bat was as big as this photograph suggests these soldiers are carrying knives that are about four fifths of their height.

Still,it remains a creepy critter. It just breaks my heart that such cute and creepy critters are being killed.
