AKWA has a temp gun from Repti zoo, I use one, don't know how accurate it is, but it helps.

Repzotix in Edenvale and Petmasters in Boksburg stock them.

I have an infra red temp gun from Tempgun.com

Guys import them every now and then and they are sometimes for sale at the expos.

I think mine cost R500 and is great, especially for incubation of eggs as well as keeping records for field herping.

And the model I have is very small, which is convenient.

@ Urucone

How much would that gun cost?

Thank you everyone for your quick responses.

@ Westley

How was the service on that site?

I didnt deal directly with the guys at Tempgun.com, but I dont think you'll have any hassles as they are a very reputable company.

My tempgun was part of a large import, which saves a bit on shipping costs

Oh ok great, I'm just waiting to see about the cost of the other one just because obviously I prefer to avoid shipping. Brackendowns post office isn't exactly the most reliable haha.
We had a parcel sitting waiting for collection for 2 months with no notification and luckily the day before they sent it back we just happened to go in and check so I would prefer the non-shipping route haha.

Yeah I also took a look there, send Urucone a PM if you want to avoid shipping he is getting me prices today and I'm sure if you want he can get you one too, plus I'm sure he would appreciate some extra business :)
