If anyone can tell me where I can find and what to do,to get a permit for an African Rock Python...Please tell.

Hi @ all,
I'm Jaco,aged 18.
I'm a reptile lover and have some of my own.
I'm looking for more advice on topics I don't know alot about,thats why I have joind this forum(all advice is welcome).
One of my hobby's is breeding with snakes,but I do not have all facillities & equipment & not all of the experience needed.
So any help is really welcome.

To tell you the truth I dont think you will get one.
Ive been told its impossible,but im not 100% sure.

Rather buy a baby that is already on permit.
What a world....

Search on the forum and look up Permit procedures in Gauteng. You can also call the Nature Conservation head office in Johannesburg and ask them if anything has changed recently.

If you already have the snake or the snake has already been captured without a permit then your chances of getting a permit are definitely zero.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Thanx...it helps alot...I dont have the snake already but I really want one,it is the most beautifull snake i've ever seen. Do you mabe know the costs of a permit and if the nature conservation must come and look to make sure of its envioroment.if do please tell?
