Where is Charina reinhardtii?

Postby glasbyb » Tue Jul 20, 2010 6:41 am

Has anyone seen any Calabars in captivity in south Africa before? Does anyone on the forum own any of them?

I find them fascinating and would love to know why they are not more common in the trade.
If you do have any then please post pics.

I remember a few years back Gavin posted pictures of some.

Just for the record, they are now Calabaria reinhardtii. I think the name Charina is reserved for the American Rubber and Rosy Boas.

Thanks for that, Scientific names are not my strong point and I know that they have several common names.
