I would call them adults when they are old enough to breed and perform courtship behaviour like blackening of their beards and 'head bopping'. I dont think size is such a good determining factor. I've seen some really small adults that are a few years old. Sexual maturity would be the main determining factor of adulthood.

I would say they're sub-adult. Mature enough for courtship, maybe not mature enough to breed yet. If they breed, then I would say they're adults. Maybe I should've said that in the first place ;)

Not to contradict what froot said, but I believe that beardies can only be classed as adults after they are atleast 2 years old.

Anything around a year of age would be a yearling, and between the two ages sub adults.

Anyhow, that's how I see it.
