Hatched with half a tail

Hatched with half a tail

This is the first time I've ever seen a leopard gecko hatch with it's tail only half the length it should be.
Has this happened to anyone else?

The same exact thing happened to me this year with a fat tail. The one hatchling is perfect and its clutch mate has half a tail.
