jusr want to know where can i buy a female as i have a male chameleon about 8 moths old and what are the conditions to breed them?

Thank you for mentioning my name. At the moment, however, I have no spare chameleons of any species.

Before buying a female check it very carefully because the older it is the more likely the risk of MBD. Veiled are very prone to MBD and it is easy to buy one that is just beginning to show signs without realising it; MBD will prove fatal if you try to breed it. A chameleon that has been grown 'slowly' is better than one that has been stuffed with food to get quick results.

A lot will depend on the source: if it is a pet shop: do they seem to know what they are talking about? There are some very good ones about (plus a few that are not). Is it a private sale? If so, was this a planned batch or have they been kept as cheaply as possible until they can be sold, with minimal food variety and insufficient UV?

Look, ask questions, don't rush.
