I didn’t have any internet connectivity for the last two weeks I was on site, so here is a bunch of pics to end off this post. I will start a new thread in three weeks when I return to Mozambique.
Some more birdlife:
Yellow-billed hornbill
Southern Carmine Bee-Eater
Lesser striped Swallow
White-bellied sunbird
Black-headed heron
Namaqua Doves
Red-billed Quelea’s
Lizard Buzzard
Mammals:
I think this is a Slender Mongoose. It was standing on its hind legs watching me take pictures of the sunbirds. Unfortunately I didn’t focus the camera properly on it and didn’t get very good shots.
Baby Scrub Hare
Various Wasps are coming out:
Cuckoo Wasp
Delta lepeleterii
Delta emarginatum
Polistes sp
Sarcophaga sp
Robber Fly
Damselfly
Lycosidae sp
And lots of trees and shrubs coming into bloom, turning the bush into a Palette. Hopefully there will be even more out when I return.
