Positive I.D. Required

Positive I.D. Required

Good Morning All

As you know, I have been dealing with Corns for a while now, but I would like positive I.D. on two Specimens.

The first one: Is this Lavender - the Ruby eyes would suggest yes. What pairing would give some nice babies.

The Second One: is this Amel, or is it Sunglow.

I would say your ID's are both spot on (with reservations on the Lavender, but I cannot think of anything else it could be), with the second one DEFINITELY being a Sunglow and a stunner too! Come tot hink of it, might even be a Hypo Amel.

If you have the cash for a new addition, I suggest you get a Sunkissed to pair with the Lavender and produce some het Orchids. For the Sunglow, I would just go for a simple Motley. Motley combined with that quality of Sunglow would look spectacular.

Thanks Westley,

Regards the Lavender, I thought it could a very light Anery or Ghost, however, the eyes are definitely Ruby / Red, an indicator of Lavender.

Regards the Sunglow, what Sunkissed Morph or Motley Morph do you suggest I pair with him. I presume that we are not talking Normals here.

Well it's all up to personal preference, but I would go for a normal Sunkissed (no pattern or additional colour morphs) and the possibly a Ghost Motley would work nicely with the Sunglow as you will be introducing the Motley and Anery genes while also testing if your Sunglow is in fact Hypo.

If all the babies from that pairing are Hypo, then your Sunglow is Hypo too, and if they're all Normals (multiple hets of course) then the Sunglow is just selectively bred.

Getting spectacular results in the first generation will not be easy unless you have lots of money to spend of designer morphs.

Remember guys for it to be a Sunglow it has to be directly linked to Kathy loves Bloodlines. :)
