Grey Banded kingsnakes have to be one of the most colorful & beautiful snakes within it's genus. I have this lovely little female which I was lucky enough to pick up at the recent expo held in KZN.

The Chihuahua Mountain Kingsnake, Lampropeltis pyromelana knoblochi is one there are hardly any pics of on SAreptiles, so I have to share these..

They also have the most wicked belly coloration...

Beautiful snakes and great pictures. I have only heard good things about the SX 40.
A Shangaan legend states that any man resting or sleeping in the shade of a baobab will become eccentric and forever be enslaved by Africa and its wilderness, guess it's too late for me.
