Postby warbot » Mon Oct 12, 2009 10:39 am

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of someone breeding with lizards or geckos as feeder food?
I am starting to think of doing this, but what about the legal aspect of this?

can someone tell me?

thanks

So I figured, what other solution is there for me Daz, do it illegally? (can cause me problems) catch some on the border and breed them?... I am out of solutions?! I desperately want to get me a pair of long nosed whip snakes, but they are gecko feeders hence the reason why I don't have them...!

What would you suggest I do?

Keeping gecko feeders is difficult to catch your own food especially that you cant find any geckos..eish!goodluck bud.

Long nose whip snakes are you referring to the Ahaetulla species? often called Asian Vine snakes?
If so i have seen captive individuals feeding on mice before, they just need to be alive. However this is the exception as apposed to the rule.

@ Amphibian, the one my friend!

these are still juv's and therefore does not yet take pinks, I am sure you will be able to get them onto pinks as adults, but as juvs they are way to small !!

But they nice hey :D
