agama i.d wanted

Found these guys at a reptile fair in germany sold as agama spp from Mosambique. Beeing a fan of small agamas i could not resist taking them home.
Keeping them seperate in quarantine terraria they are a bit skinny but eating and drinking well hope they do wel from now on. my best guess would be A. aculeata ?

It doesnt look like any A. aculeata that I have seen.

The species that occur in Mozambique are:
- A. aculeata
- A. armata
- A. hispida
- A. kirkii
- A. mossambica

It's definitely not armata, hispida, kirkii. I doubt that it is aculeata, so that leaves A. mossambica, but I am yet to see pictures of this species, so that is just a wild guess based on elimination of other species.

Thanks for the reply Westley, i found some data on A. mossambica in reptiles of east africa it seemes to be a large agama mine seeme to be rather small and the picture shown does not resamble my animals.
The reason for my thinking of A aculeata is that this species is commonly imported and there are lots of pics of them on the web some of them show the stripe witch runs from the eye to ear and with some imagination the side patern is also seen on som of the pics. Maybe a local variation? maybe if i get them fully aclimatist and in maturity we can identyfi them better.

Well at least you are now 100% of what they are and you can breed and sell them with confidence.

I can't imagine this is a common species in captivity, or at least a species that is kept successfully, so I wish you all the best with them!
