Ball python enclosure

Ball python enclosure

Postby Brandon101 » Sat Feb 06, 2016 4:50 pm

Hi everyone,
I've recently bought a baby baby ball python. At the moment I'm housing her in a plastic container until she gets a bit bigger. Im thinking of putting her in a wooden snake enclosure when she is older, but where would I put her heating pad? Still underneath her enclosure? Is there any one in port Elizabeth who sells ready made plastic enclosures? Would much prefer one of those. Thanks for your help

I would suggest getting a low wattage (10W) heat mat which is placed inside the wooden cage.

Just be sure to connecting the heat mat to a thermostat to prevent overheating.
