cheers BV . I thought it might be . Still have the chaps contact number and i might pick it up at the next show . Just something different i recon . I think it too was a male but it will be interesting to work with it more than anything else .
I know them olivacious look very weird with them bright eyes but there is no trickery going on there , they really do have almost eirie (sp) eyes .

I also know of a black house snake Lamprophis fuliginosus niger not sure if it has subspecies status yet, they are found in the Congo.

Slangman you should really try to get this specimen I'm sure it would make a nice addition.

what slangman describes is almost exactly what the "sooty" house snake looks like in the book

Your assumption would be correct BV, the intention of my comment was to imply that the snake looked unreal, in the sence of it's beauty and physical appearance, especially when considering that it's actually a Lamprophis, no offense what so ever intended towards Bill Branch... :-)

Slangman asks who would want to import a housie to SA? I'll be prepared to pay mega bucks for a housie like that. not 2K sterling, but R1000 no problem...

@Durban Keeper: They are not all that pretty, the one in the photo is a nice looking one with REALLY bright orange eyes, most are not that bright.
