Insanly Huge Meal- Brown House Snake This Morning

Insanly Huge Meal- Brown House Snake This Morning

Postby Fooble » Thu Nov 13, 2008 9:02 am

This morning i went outside to feed my mice, and check on the one which was well pregnant
and i saw something else...

-Sorry for the crappy pics my normal camera is Out of order-

Image

Image

The bars on the cages are really small so that the fuzzies cant get out so now with this meal the snake couldn't get out the cage so it was just chilling inside.

Image

Trying to give a size comparison!
Image

The snake is not more than 54cm! It took an adult fully pregnant mouse!
And i thought the other male was eating up all my pinks!

Got the snake in one of my smaller tanks for now on some heat and going to release it after it can actually move!

That is one awesome find pity about the female mouse but still.
These guys don't care about size, they will make it fit.

Nice, It's funny how, if anyone saw someone feed a snake that much in captivity, they'd get an earfull and lots of comments on their shoddy husbandry, just shows how robust these little guys are.
I still think it's awesome that you don't even need to go snake catching, the snakes come to you. ha ha.
Shame about the pregnant female, that sucks.

Haha Yeah man i can now herp out in my garden while drinking tea haha!

Its true hey i was thinking the same thing about feeding a huge meal,
plus the snake was in a cage with a large male mouse and the snake didnt get bitten or anything.

Need to find some more interesting snakes hehe!
