Gorgous girl...

Gorgous girl...

Postby Durban Keeper » Tue Nov 10, 2009 9:35 am

Just wanted to share this photograph with you guys. It is of the most beautiful female housie I have ever owned.
She was given to me as a gift by a really good friend. She seems gravid, maybe she retained sperm from last season's mating.
Her babies are all a very striking redish brown colour. Nothing beats a healthy big lamprophis capensis or inornana or any Lampie for that matter.

Just wanted to share.

She really is a nice specimen. So true nothing beats a healthy house snake.

She is stunning. You should call her milo. Lol

Dont cross her with the Durban males. She does not look like a local to me. Very nice condition though.

Your correct there BV & I have no intention of ever breeding with her. I have BHS from 5 different localities as the variation fascinates me, but I will never cross any, to me it's almost like creating a hybrid, because in some case the differences are vast!

Those of you who know where Lize used to live before her & her hubby immigrated to Qatar will know the snakes locality.
It's not too far from KZN, but just look at the difference when put next to 'local' female of the same size.

This photo was taken by Clinton's wife to show the vast difference between the two:)

Stunning!
