I would like to know what age a female and male BHS would have to be to breed
and what weight it should be :)

Rule of thumb, is 3 years or 3 feet. It is possible to breed them at 2 years if she is large enough, but nit advisable. Males will/can get frisky at 18 months already.

This is dependent on locality. In KZN this might apply but in other provinces these snakes never reach 90cm in length. Well fed two year old females should be fine to breed with. When in doubt wait for another year though.

People, the 3 feet, 3 years, 300 gram rule is generally applied to Corn Snakes, which get bigger than BHS.
For safety sake, just apply the 3 years rule with BHS.
It is better to be Pissed Off than Pissed On.
