What was the morph that sired the gravid Ghost?

The sire was a ghost. But I plan on pairing her to a Albino male for her second clutch.

I appreciate all the comments and how you guys dig my snakes. Too bad they aren't the easiest snakes to sell. I tried to sell one of my massive het females but no one was interested.

I was feeding some of the juveniles tonight and here are some shots.

This is my female brick red, one of my favorites. She has an amazing feeding response but isn't a violent feeder. She doesn't respond to tease feeding at all.





And I decide to take a video of one of my juvenile Albino girls feeding. This one has a awesome feeding response and has never refused a feed with me.

I think the lack of interest in your advertised snake might just be due to guys not wanting to go through the entire rigmarole of permits.

I know that is the only reason I do not keep them!

I wish there was some way that we could exclude visual morphs of indigenous snakes from the permit system.

The rationale being that 99.9% of morphs will be captive bred and even the 0.1% that wasn't captive bred will likely not have survived in the wild.

Wonder if that's something worth proposing?

That's a pretty good idea Wesley!

There might be a problem with hets but a "certificate" of some sort issued by the breeder could help solve that.

It might work in Gauteng but I doubt Cape Nature would be keen on it.

Permits aren't that difficult bud.

I'm in the cape and I need permits for everything. Its not difficult when you get used to it and once you are patient with NatCon.
