Yeah, those lineatus are just awesome. I hit a luck with my mentalis many years ago. Fooble bred some and I managed to get a few. I have never seen any since then for sale, I did manage to get a Northern cape locality House snake from Rolf at the expo in December which is close but much much darker.

Those lineatus are great.

Here's a crappy cellphone photo showing the extent of the striping in the Namaqualand ones. Picture in situ on a stone wall.

Those are serious stripes. The house snake complex is so interesting and colour/pattern so diverse. I wonder what would happen if you bred the striped mentalis to a regular one?
