Not nice, please keep a diary of symptoms and progress together with pics of the finger, hand, arm etc.
We all need to beupdated when things like this happen because it leads to our education and knowledge of what to expect when it happens to us.
This is specifically true for treatment of a bite from this species.

Best of luck and a swift recovery.

Firstly stay away from anti-inflammatories. They are contra-indicated for cytotoxic snake bites.

Secondly do not use pain killers that have aspirin in them. They promote bleeding which you dont want either.

Keep drinking lots of fluids as this helps with the recovery. Obviously stay away from any alcohol and drink diluted energade or some other solution.

Hope you get well soon.

Eish buddy. It's not nice to be bit but you are man enough to tell us.

It should be over in 3 days...
If I'm gonna be an old, lonely man, I'm gonna need a thing, you know, a hook, like that guy on the subway who eats his own face. So I figure I'll be Crazy Man with a Snake, y'know. Crazy Snake Man. And I'll get more snakes, call them my babies, kids won't walk past my place, they will run. "Run away from Crazy Snake Man, " they'll shout!”

The pic above was 5 min after i got bitten, pic blow was 30 min after the bite

[urlhttp://img534.imageshack.us/

the pain was extremely sore but took it like a man, went to doc for 2 injections, finger is still swollen can almost bent it but do get pain time to time. extreme caution should be taken when handling these snakes.
the muscles in my front arm turned blue and on my bicep it turned purple of the venom, my armpit was damn tender for 4 days but better now.

i almost got a buyer for the snake and cage but it was too late. any of you willing to buy the snake from me pls let me know, im in alberton jhb. (076-0455-028)
the guy at the petshop told me that if it does bite you you will get a minor head ace and some foam around the mouth, it's bull, none of that symptoms is true.

hope the pics help alot and take care guys!!!!!!

cheers
