Took a hell of a long time but had 17 babies yesterday of which 1 was deformed and 1 slug.

You know, you can touch a stick of dynamite, but if you touch a venomous snake it’ll turn around and bite you and kill you so fast it’s not even funny.

Do you get them feeding on beef heart? Why not just small pinks? I'm still waiting for mine to drop... How long was gestation?
I am in Nelspruit and my snakes up in Pretoria with my girlfriend so I hope she only drops in the new year.

Whitelipp... try and get small pinks not so easy - well for me at least... they are mostly water any way.
I have always used beef heart for neonates it gives them a good start. I try with pinks as well but I always seem to fall back on beef heart until they are big enough to take pinkies.
Gestation was long... last copulation was in March yours should drop any day... if you want them to hold out till Jan they will drop before then - MURPHY!!!

Will transporting her have a negative affect on her? I would neet to have my gf bring her in the whole cage down to nelspruit just so that I can get those neonates eating and make sure that she is fine. I also need to seperate the neonates from the female asap. The last copulation was in June so she is due soon.
The first chance I will have of getting them down in Nelspruit will be on the 10 of Dec... Hold thumbs she doesn't drop before then...

Congrats Brad! Beef-heart has worked well for me on newborns of several species (venustus, nitschei, chlorechis and squamiger). The babies seem to have a taste for them.

...and super easy to assist with the difficult ones... their first meals are some important.
@ Whitelipp would not recommend moving her that long distance unless you drive really slowly - like 10km/h. She may drop them if stressed.
Feed beef heart like anything else - cut into small strips then offer/tease - small snake = small strip so its easy to get them to eat.
