Good Day All

I just saw this on an overseas Forum.
Is it real or photo shopped.
If real, what species or sub - species of the Naja sp is this.

Looks like Causus resimus to me..
1.0-reticulated python (Ripcord)
1.1-burmese pythons
5.5-brown house snakes
1.0-taiwanese ratsnake
3.8-BCI
1.1-corn snakes
1.2-rhombic skaapstekers
1.0-yellow rat snake

That's certainly not a cobra. It's one of the cobra mimics (similar to a Herald).

If you look closely, the "peaks" of the hood is the jaw bone, so not a real hood like a cobra would.

I am not 100% sure, but looks like Macropisthodon plumbicolor.

I followed jamster's lead and googled it as well. Fron what I've read they are non venomous and besides the small size at birth which would make feeding tricky, they seem like they could be fun to keep. Anyone have any idea if there are any available in south africa?
