Rob Olivier came by and I wanted to share these pics with you, absolutely mindblowing, at least in my book...

I know I posted this thread in Naja sp. but you will probably let me get away with this. :D
One of the rarest rattlesnakes in captivity and the first in Europe. The whitest pyrrhus and a dwarfed population. She will be far more white when she's about 2 years old. She just had her first shed.

You can only take good pictures if you have good looking specimens to start with. Those animals look in great shape as well as being photographed well.

That's true Bushviper and thanks for the compliments about their condition.

Thanks all!

@Brad; Most people call them 'White Specks' and pyrrhus is normally known as 'Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnake.'

Rob himself wasn't too satisfied with them either so from an artistic point of view there are probably some flaws here and there but for a proud keeper or snakelover the pics of the animals are fantastic. ;)

@Gaboon; She's a real hothead since I put her in a cage. The first months I kept her in a plastic tank and she was really calm and docile but once she got her cage with lots of hidingplaces she became very defensive. A bit like how N. atra's are most of the time. Always hooding and hissing. She never spit though.

Xenior1976, there is a time limit to the editing function. I think it's 5 minutes, but I do stand corrected.

I wanted to ad a 's' immediately after my post but I couldn't do it...

Oh well, it was nothing important.

If people would like to see how adults of the rattler look? I can post some pics from the adult animals of my friend.

Now that I have not seen in this colour phase before. Really pretty. Almost like a paradox albino!
