Albino Naja kaouthia

Hi all,

Some pictures of Naja kaouthia Albino in her jungle setup :-D

The snake is around 190 cm and 8 years old. She is still growing and strangly she sheds her skin every month and a half a thing I have never witnessed before with any other adult Monocle cobra but than I'm normally never keep Morphs as I do not like them accept for her :smt017 :-D

THe enclosure she is kept in is 140 x 65 x 65 cm (L x W X H) and I tried to give her a sort of natural habititat with lots of life plants en other natural products like treebark which I use as backwall sphagnum. and different levels under which she can hide or take a heatup on top of it.

The coolest is that keeping them on way like this the snakes get more calm and friendly and show a great natural behaviour, every little change in the enclosure triggers her to tongue flick and scroll around for hours. :-D

Here some picture of her and here palace.

My way of keeping snakes and the way I handle them is my way and not to copy or taken as example. Working with venomoussnakes can be risk with deadly ending.

That's how I wish I had all my enclosures! Did it cost you a bit to get it going. We are pricing plants and such but it just gets so expensive. Thats a nice big girl you have there!

Does she know she is in captivity? I doubt it. Something to strive for.

@ Richard Mastenbroek - How did you get the moss, it's it normal spaghnum that you glued on or is it actually growing, If it grows, Please tell me how you did it? and what do you do to keep the wood from swelling? I build glass tanks inside the enclosure
as long as you keep quiet, no one will notice that your dumb
