Naja philippinensis

Naja philippinensis

Naja philippinensis is like all the Philippine Naja species a true spitter. N. philippinensis can reach sizes up to 2 meters and belong that for to the bigger cobras. they behave very well, but be known to be slightly nervous. i have breed few hundreds of this amazing cobra species over the last years, and keep still lots for venom extraction in order to help to produce antivenin. the philippines are on the beginning to understand the importance of proper snake bite treatment. unfortunately, until now there is only the antivenin for N. philippinensis available. N. philippinensis ist the most potent among all cobra species in the world. it was believed to be Naja nivea, but N. philippinensis is clearly more lethal. our research work shows fatalities as less as 30 minutes after the bite.
