gecko from Limpopo

This is a young Turners Gecko - Chondrodactylus turneri.

What info do you have on these guys, this is the only one I have found in Limpopo so far.

They are a common species, they get quite large and bite which can be quite painful infact.
Have a closer look you'll find more sometimes you can find them around lights at night where they catch and feed on moths and other flying insects.

The bite I can vouch for, this guy grabbed me a few times, though, we only find these guys around the lights.

Well my leopard gecko bit me, what a shock. It doesn’t hurt thou, it’s just it never bit before and you don’t expect them to bite either. Well he had a change of mind.

That last gecko is Hemidactylus mabouia or more commonly known as a tropical house gecko. Those are very common and wide spread around urban areas in South Africa. Quite interesting fella's to watch I might add

True and they get quite large as well. I identified it as Hemidactylus willandi of sort but was sure I was wrong haha, but the one thing that bothers me is that where they are, there are no other geckos.
What also surprises me about these geckos is how the hell did they get there in the middle of nowhere.
