Please help Identify and give info

I found a little gecko in a house friends of mine are moving into. Now Iv been told its a Pachydactylus affinis but can anyone verify this and give me a bit more info on it like how big it get is it legal anything please?

Was found in Middelburg

Yup, that is P. affinis.

It would be illegal for you to keep it as it is wild caught and there is no way of getting a permit for it.

That is a sub-adult and it should still get quite a bit bigger, it's maybe 70% of the adult size now.

I would say that is probably P. affininis, yes. It is a small species, they don't get much bigger than that. It is illegal to keep without a permit.
