Scorpion sting

Hi I found a small black scorpion in the house yesterday(unfortunately did not take picture)....we stay next to the wonderboom airpor(pretoria) and this is the 3rd scorpion we found. I did some research on the internet and it seems to me that it might be a transvaal thick tailed scorpion(Parabuthus transvaalicus) and apparently they are quite venomous. What would happen if i get stung by one of these?? also I have a cat and a small dog would they be ok?
