Those chameleons are in terrible condition. Are these animals in captivity?

Really, Vinnige Fanie? And how do you know that? Chameleons keep their eyes closed like that when they are stressed. The flap neck is definitely not happy. That second chameleon is a male Rhampholeon marshalli!

That is not a rampholeon marshalli

The first is a chamaeleo dilepis, the second is in my opinion a rhampholeon of sorts but definitely not marshalli.
2:2 Pseudaspis cana
1:2 Dasypeltis scabra

And yes they are all on permit.

On what do you base your identification of marshalii? Surely you have some valid reason for your assumption?

That flap neck could be a fresh new hatchling which could explain its appearance or it could be in poor condition...
The second chameleon is a rampholeon (commonly known as pygmy chameleons). I personaly think it is a marshalii too.

Thanks Tyrone, that is a poor image of the Rhampholeon. I have cross referenced the distribution of that animal in Petr Necas and Wolfgang Schmidt's book "Stump-tailed Chameleons", the distribution is consistent with marshalli. Just some tips on writing scientific names of species; the Genus always start with a capitol letter while the specie is spelt in lower case. The genus and specie should also be in italics.

First one looks like Chamaeleo quilensis.

Second one is one of the Rhampholeon species, possibly R. platyceps
