setaro's dwarf chameleon

setaro's dwarf chameleon

I found these this past weekend in St Lucia,Kwazulu-Natal. I've identified them, with help from a friend, as setaro's dwarf chameleons,Bradypodion setaroi.
I was extremely surprised to find most of them in pine trees, which is an exotic tree.

Here's a few pics.
Pictures are not taken by me ,as I did not have my camera.
They not very good,I would have taken some better pics :)

Baby.

I found 6 in two days.It was a school tour so I could only look at the place we were sleeping, which did not have much bush.
I saw the sixth on a piece of reed along the estuary.
If I was able to get into the bush I would have found lots more, and other herps.

Thanks for looking :)

Ales nice finds, where about in St Lucia did you find them?
They are extremely common in and around the town it'self.
The setaro are distinguishable from other species by that elongated head.
