Can anyone help with the ID of this chameleon photographed near Curry's Post in the Midlands. Natal Midlands Dwarf Chameleon perhaps?

Not too sure where exactly you found it the Bradypodion thamnobates - Midlands Dwarf distribution is from Mooi River to Bulwer and Dargle.
Was this one a juvenile?

It was about 12cm in length, so not a juvenile. Curry's Post is near Balgowan and about 20km from Mooi River

Possible, usually the females don't look like that.
But distribution wise is must be a Midlands Dwarf.

B. thamnobates without a doubt.

Range, variation, and morphological features all correlate.

Great find, this is a restricted species!
2:2 Pseudaspis cana
1:2 Dasypeltis scabra

And yes they are all on permit.
