I came across this ad.
Is it possible that this guy is actually captive breeding them?
Never mind having permits.

This guy probably goes out catching these every weekend and sells them for R500 each.

It's a touchy subject.

I know this guy personally , the original pairs he had were collected he did successfully breed them. f2 generations too.
Although the keeping of this species is sketchy because they are listed as a Threatened/Vulnerable species.

Just to add he is some 200kms from where those chameleons occur just to put it into perspective.
Organized crime comes in more forms than one.

Don't you need permits for indigenous chameleons in Kzn?

Yes all indigenous Chameleons need permits in KZN. So I wouldn't know the story behind these ones?
