It's bad when your use to paying less. They should be R1

That's just ridiculous. Nothing wrong with 50 bucks. Quail breeders need to make a living also. One rand is not gonna cover transport costs these days.

Bare in mind these Japanese quail only lay one egg a day.
So It takes time to get a fair amount

I think they use Jungle or Rain quail for the commercial breeding. They dont breed all year around either. I am already struggling to get eggs.

Order italian singing quail for R15 if you've got your own cage.They will breed in winter and are hengse cute.

If your desperate I'll post eggs at R18 postage and 70cents each.
