Contortrix....dial up warning!

Postby MegF » Sun Mar 28, 2010 4:09 am

Picked this beauty up at a local show. I've always wanted one as they are a favorite of mine and she was so pretty I couldn't pass her up. She's a whole different deal than my schlegelii, but she's a blast. Meet Zipper: Agkistrodon Contortrix contortrix!

No, and no plans to breed these now. I prefer to have a completely separate facility before doing that. My snake room is very secure with sealed doors etc, but it's not ideal for venomous. I'm keeping a few venomous right now, but they are larger and not as easily lost if there's an escape. Right now there's too many places a very small snake could go that I'd have to work to get them out of. So, any type of breeding is going to wait until my next house!
