Fooble that "rack"is amazing. Such beastly craftmanship.

And Rishaad did you make yours yourself? great idea to put the glass in front of the wood. I'll need that so ít's harder for my bigger snakes to break through.

Sweet Deal!

Hi snakemanjayd... I'll drop ypu a pm, those racks are my game!! And I supply the 26l tubs WAY cheaper than that! Very nice rack though, well done.
As for "Why do people use racks instead of cages", its a matter of personal taste. And its been discussed at some length on this site already.
I use both, but find racks suit some species and not others.

Looking good bru. How are you heating these cages? Did you manage to get the 4mm glass sliding track or are you using the 6mm ones?

Guessing your aiming that at me Rishaad?
yeah i got some 4mm rails thanks to snakes4africa :-)

There is space between each level of about 20mm and the cables just go on the base of the above cage... does that make sense?
But yeah heating is sorted now going wait a few days for the sealing agent to loose a bit of its odour then the snakes go in!

@tightjeans - Yes I made it myself. Was the first thing ive really made out of wood and I was quite stoked with myself when I was done.
@Byron - Sounds like you can get those tubs that I bought from you with lids now at the same price. That would be cool.

Lids are for people who can't make their racks properly :smt016 :smt016
No, seriously, I don't supply tubs with lids. Thats how I get them cheaper.

:smt021 Hey my rack is built properly dude even though it was my first attempt. lol. I just like to keep the lids on hand cos I think its quite handy especially for transporting the snakes or using as holding tubs. My wife wanted to snatch 2 of my tubs for some of her kombuis stuff but when she found out I didnt have lids she didnt take them. At least it helped me not to have lids in that situation.

Telling her that snakes had gone to the toilet in them didn't deter her?
That's usually the way I reserve my herp tupperware; let a snake or mouse use it, then say, sorry, we've used it for the snakes, you can't have it back, unhygenic!!!
