The only way i know a snake can open a racking system is if the draws slide very easily and the snake pushes its nose up against the shelf above the container. I have seen a little Burm do it. Sort of like nose rubbing. This is not likely to happen at all though! Usually the snake escapes because a drawer is not closed properly and they snake is able to squeaze there nose out and force the drawer open. If you want to stay safe keel them secure with a little blob of press stick :)

Hay BRAD15!

Like Jamster said only if you don't close it properly, but its very unlikely that it would escape if its fully closed.

What snakes are you keeping in the rack, and please post a picture :) , I'm thinking of getting a rack too for some geckos.

You would be surprised... I had a ball python female that opened the sliding doors with ease, even though they did not move too easily. I just stuck a bit of prestick where the two pieces of glass meet. I don't know how she did it, but I did saw her a few times upright with her belly on the glass and then falling to the side. A big ball python female is quite strong.
