Hi and Welcome Archie. You almost got the image posting right - it seemed like you copied the page URL rather that the image URL. The image URL will always end with '.jpg' and not '.html'. (You can get the image URL by right clicking on the image and choosing 'properties' from the menu.

Thanks guys I love pictigaster most of all.I am going hunting this weekend and should find some more.I will post some other pictures.This site is very interesting to me,I live in texas and this is most of what i keep.Lost a finger to one of these guys.Some day I hope to go to SA just to hunt snakes If any of you guys ever make it here I will take you on a Texas safari .Love this site.

I love the colors of that copperhead, like BV said, nice deep tones! Ouch, losing a finger. If you don't mind me asking, how did that happen?

I was pinning the snakes head and went for the grab and miss judged got a bad bite.Then a necrotizeing hematoma formed and killed the finger.This was not my first copperhead bite but it was the worst.

I was nailed by a night adder like that. Since then I haven't tried to neck n snake again... I think there is just to much risk in it.
