Storeria dekayi victa,
http://myfwc.com/docs/FWCG/brown_snake_keys.pdf

brown top with a golden dark brown line on the spine, paired with darker brown lines, has a tear like effect also dark brown to black under the eye, hard scales on the nose (digger), white to red belly from head to tail with black square dots.
coils its tail in a cork effect when threatened, displaying the red underbelly, also flattens the last bit of the tail.

so far I am 75% sure it eats crickets, millipedes, earthworms and other small insects.
...very skittish...
its about 20 - 25cm in length

but I am up for correction!
I have come to believe it to be a number of species, but alas, this is the closest match.

I think that is a great idea, I'm sure it will help me identify and maybe find a mate for this beauty

I have never heard of something like that in my life, nor seen anything like that. Which pet shop did you get is from BTW??

Oh and agree perhaps this should become a new topic.

I rather won't disclose who I bought is from, it almost looks like a night adder in some ways also a skaap steker in other verry cool specimen, but the red to white belly is unique!

Hey Westley, doesn't this face of this snake resemble your Coronella girondica?
