For some reason i cant find my post anymore with my setup. The Caiman drowned though and i now have a nile croc in the tank.
If your caiman outgrows that cage, i might want to sell my setup if you are interested, its a 7foot tank, built just like yours with 30%land and 70%water.
Im going to have to build a pond soon

Shame man, how did it drown, get stuck under something?

Gino, how did you manage to get permits for a Nile Croc?

My boss owns a private game farm, I incubated one of the eggs from the farm. The croc is going back there the 12th November, hence im looking at selling my setup. Mine will join the other 52 babies.
I made a whole journal since 1st day incubation to, every meal, water temp, land temp etc. Just for fun

Nice setup, I have always wondered about caiman the internet suggests a female will get 1,2m long.
How do you keep them then and what about the cat? (I was thinking open air outdoors)

Open air and outdoors is a problem in winter. The cat will not last long.

Tree gecko yes Banded iguanas will be better. A nice pair will set you back about R40 000-00 and you can probably only sell the babies locally because export will be a nightmare. I dont think they will sell as quickly as other cheaper lizards. I also only know of one female in SA so buying pairs will not be too easy.
