Copperheads ?

Postby Urucone » Wed Oct 28, 2009 12:55 pm

I hope one of you could help me,

I know that you find a southern and a northern as well as a banded copperhead, well I've got myself a pair, they look the same exept that the brown bands has a dot in each band and a palish brown colour inside and the other is plain brown bands with a palish brown colour inside ,the belly's is diffrent as well, the one is pinkish white and the other is blackish grey :smt017 and another thing I've noticed is that the one's temprament is placid and the other is worse than my girlfriend's

Will they pair up and What breeds are they?

thanx

-Moved- These are highly venomous-

Post pictures.

You also get transpecos and osage copperheads.

We unfortunately have a lot of intergrades in SA.

And then you get the Southern African Copperhead which is a cross-breed of all of the above!!

Pics might help. The American herpers would be able to steer you in the right direction. I have given up trying to seperate these subspecies as I always get it wrong.
