<sarcasm> take the photos from 50 yards!</sarcasm>
seriesly though guys... this tortie is quite a character. He charges after you and munches at your feet, which in my opinion is hysterically funny. Taking pro photos is not always easy with a camera phone, dunno if p.boy is using a camera phone or not. probably? if you want, I can come round and you can use my wifes 6mp sony.
p.boy and I chatted last night about the apparant "offensive" comments. I told him to lighten up, after all this is the internet. One thing about p.boy I can promise you, he aint in to bs, so if he posts it here it's exactly what he witnessed. I got him to join this site, as I find this site epically awesome to just read. as a n00b he also needs to learn forum rules and nettiequette which I am teaching him now. not really much of an internet user that boy... sorry p.boy, i love you, but facts are facts *grinn*
I am quite interested in the idea that this may be a hybrid. I have always been into lizards, recently got into snakes, and thus started learning about hybrids... that is so exciting as it means that there is more and more variations possible than Darwin imagined
as far as tortoises go, until a few years ago, i thought that tortoises where only one species. I thought they lived for 150 years and they grew to the size of old volkswagens. pretty much what I was taught at school. I do know that the giants they have at Michels Park in durban can pick up big speeds at feeding time, so leads me to wonder, are Torties really slow, or do they just move lathargically? Just a question I have always pondered since watching one of those durban giants pound dirt...
