Amazon Tree boas born 06/04/2010

Postby Snakes4Africa » Sat Apr 10, 2010 1:11 pm

After a lengthy wait, the babies were born on Tuesday night, and then a second batch on Friday night. One more female still to drop. I am more than pleasantly surprised with the colours this year. A total of 8 yellow, 2 yellow/orange, one red and one garden phase so far. The last female still due to drop does not usually give any coloured babies, but you never know! Enjoy the pics! These babies will be available at the SOS show in early May.

Are they ALL going to be available?

Played Byron, those are some good looking babies.
Out of curiosity how many did you get total.

TonyK please keep your personal gripes.......personal.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. I got a total of 8 bright yellow, 2 yellow/orange, one red and one garden phase from 2 clutches so far... a total of 12. Relatively small clutches. I have had single clutches bigger than that!
These will be available at the show, at least to look at... some are already spoken for. They range in price from about R900 for plain brown/grey to R1200 for nice garden phase, R2500 for coloured, R3000 for bright yellow and R3500 for red.

TonyK, you have mail, my apologies for not replying to your PM sooner. A public response would be appreciated.

Yeah!!! What a beautiful sight, congratulations!!!
They're all spectacular, especially the red!! I see some nice white in there on the red baby.
You're definitely going to have to post some individual photos when you get a chance.
Great job!!!

NickFT, I think you may be thinking of Emerald Tree boas, Corallus caninus.
However, if not and you truly believe amazons should be more expensive, I will gladly charge you more ( as TonyK so kindly pointed out!) ;)

Howzit Byron,

Awesome babies, well priced and definitely going on my shopping list. Just gotta get some more tanks and maybe build another structure to house them under.
