Got My First Clutch!!

Thanks David

2 spider would great, but I'm holding out for 4! If I don't get 100% spiders then I'm considering stuffing the eggs back into the Dam and telling her to try again... lol.....

On a side note, I candled the eggs last night and all 4 have got nice big juicy veins showing which means they they are all currently viable and healthy.....

That would be good.... ha ha....

Geeeez, how's this weather here in Jozi at the moment????

Up until this cold front hit us my incubator was working perfectly, with no condensation in the egg container. But the big drop in temp (19C this morning - normally is about 24/25) in my snake room has resulted in a bit of condensation building up in the egg container.... hmm I don't like that.... so what I have done is place a couple layers of paper towels over the eggs to catch any water droplets if they happen to drop........

Bundu boy rather dont do that. As the paper gets wet it clings to the eggs. Just take the lid off once a day and wipe it off. One of two drops will not matter as long as it does not keep dripping on them.

Thanks BV

I've been checking the eggs quite often and have not allowed the paper to get barely damp, but I'll remove the paper anyways It's just while we are having this extra cool weather at the moment that I am having this problem. Once it warms up then I won't have the condensation issue any more.....

Nice. The snakes read the maths books regarding odds.

Thanks BV, yep they are clever snakes....

OK, the last one came out the egg last net, the spider..... they look good, all weigh in the 55g - 59g range..

As promised, here are the pics, you can see in the group pic that the bottom left egg was opened a lot, i cut the eggs and did not see the head and worried so i opened it up more and there it was......
