Very beautiful Mr B.

Eish Byron, that one in pic no. 7 is absolutely unbelievable. Absolutely knocked the stuffing out of my sails.
Other than the head, I would never have known that it was an Amazon.
Is it some type of Amazon Hybrid?

Thanks for the comments guys!
Roland, you should know better than to ask me if I have a hybrid in collection! ;) Amazons are so variable, with different colours coming from one clutch and subsequent years breeding not being the same as previous.

Byron you have some beautiful animals.

How do amazon color genetics work - if you breed a yellow to a yellow are ALL offspring yellow? What about a yellow to a garden phase?

There is no simple answer to this question. I have got yellow and red babies form pure yellow parents, yellow and coloured from garden to coloured parents and garden phase and coloured babies from both coloured pairs and garden phase pairs.
The likelihood of getting really pretty coloured babies from garden phase parents is fairly low, and you may get some garden phase from coloured parents.
Basically like a lucky packet where you get better toys from the more expensive packet!
then, to add to your woes, babies can change quite considerably as they grow. In my opinion, though, they do not get ugly.

Hey Byron, just jerking your chain a bit.
When I eventually do get Amazons, that is the colour I would want.
